What I Value
The question then becomes ... change towards what?

This is not a site that believes any change is good change.  Nor that anyone believes any change is good change.  But we, those contributing to and wanting to make available this site to others, whole true and steady and embrace some core values and beliefs about education and what we believe to be its purpose and what role and responsibility we have as a human community to contribute to the well-being of our communities and each individual in them.

This is open for discussion, but we need to put forth a core set of values that can be employed to reflect on the value of each idea and action put forth on this site .... and in our communities.

I and We Value and Believe ...
  • That each person should be afforded the opportunity to pursue a "generative" life
  • That, as a society (government and communities) the design of our educational systems should be focused on the purposeful and successful design of learning opportunities and communities for the purposeful achievement of the first value above
  • That our "system" of education should be a proactive agent of innovation and creativity toward the pursuit of the above two values
  • That our governments and communities should proactively ensure equitable opportunity and pathways of learning and systems of living that benefit a community and each individual to thrive
